What You'll Need

Setting Up Your Ledger Wallet

Step 1: Unbox Your Ledger Wallet

Unbox your Ledger hardware wallet and make sure all the components are included:

• Ledger device
• USB cable
• Recovery sheet
• Instructions

Step 2: Install Ledger Live

1. Visit the Ledger website at Ledger Live to download the latest version of Ledger Live for your operating system.
2. Follow the installation instructions specific to your OS.

Step 3: Initialize Your Device

1. Connect your Ledger device to your computer using the USB cable.
2. Follow the on-screen instructions in Ledger Live to set up your device as a new wallet or restore an existing wallet.
3. Choose a PIN code and write it down securely.
4. Write down your 24-word recovery phrase on the provided recovery sheet and keep it in a safe place. This recovery phrase is crucial for accessing your funds if you lose your device.

Step 4: Add Accounts to Ledger Live

1. Open Ledger Live and navigate to the "Manager" tab.
2. Install the appropriate apps for the cryptocurrencies you wish to manage.
3. Go to the "Accounts" tab and add new accounts for each cryptocurrency.

Using Your Ledger Wallet

Sending and Receiving Crypto

1. Receiving Crypto:
   • Open Ledger Live and select the account for the cryptocurrency you want to receive.
   • Click "Receive" and follow the instructions to generate a receiving address.
   • Share this address with the sender.
2. Sending Crypto:
   • Open Ledger Live and select the account for the cryptocurrency you want to send.
   • Click "Send" and enter the recipient's address and the amount you want to send.
   • Confirm the transaction on your Ledger device.

Security Tips

• Keep Your Recovery Phrase Secure: Never share your recovery phrase with anyone. Store it in a safe place and do not digitize it.
• Beware of Phishing: Always verify the URL before entering your Ledger Live credentials. Ledger will never ask for your recovery phrase.
